2014 was the 13th year that Ben & Stacey Dixon hosted the Full Moon And Tattoo Horror Convention in Nashville, Tn. I love going to this show each year because it is in my backyard and it was the very first horror convention that I attended. Each year it gets better and this year was great. They always have great guests and tons of vendor from all over the area.
There are several reasons that I like to go to these conventions. One of the main reasons are the celerbity guest that each show has. Some of my favorites were at the show this year.
You can’t mention horror in 2014 without someone bringing up The Walking Dead. The AMC cable show has take the world by storm and is one of the most popular cables show ever. Full Moon main guest was Scott Wilson from The Walking Dead. A lot of younger fans may just know Scott as Hershel from the show but Scott has been in countless movies over the years.
I was able to get a short interview with Scott on Sunday. He was a really nice guy and I was very honored to be able to talk with him. I will be posting the interview soon.
My favorite guest at Full Moon this year has to be PJ Soles. PJ was in John Carpenters Halloween, Carrie, Stripes, The Devils Rejects and many other movie and TV roles. I consider her a great friend. She is a very sweet lady and really loves her fans, and there were a lot at Full Moon over the weekend.
Since it was Easter Weekend my friend Christi suggested I take something to PJ for Easter. I stopped and got her a chocolate Easter bunny on the way to the show on Saturday. She loved it!
A big Easter kiss to Christi for giving me the idea for the Easter gift!
Right next to PJ’s table was Tony Moran also from the first Halloween. Here is pic of him and PJ>
My friends Brandy, Scott, Karen and Chris with PJ Soles.
Monsters From The Basements good friend John “Grandpa” Dugan was a guest also. John is a great guy and always very funny. John does a lot of shows and I always like talking with him.

Another one of my favorite guests at the show was Danielle Bisutti who is a talented actress and singer. She recently starred in the second Insidious as well as The Curse Of Chucky. A very nice lady as well.
I had the pleasure of interviewing Danielle on Sunday and we talked about acting and singing along with other things. Be looking for that interview in the next week.

Moses J. Moseley and Theshay West who played Michonne’s armless pets in The Walking Dead
No matter how many shows Ken Foree does he is always a popular guest. Ken has been in many horror films over the years including The Devils Rejects, Dawn Of The Dead, Rob Zombies Halloween and many other film and TV roles.
Rock stars have been popping up at horror conventions lately. You gotta say rock and roll goes right along with horror movies. Mark Slaughter from the band Slaughter was also a guest at this year. He lives here in Nashville and still tours.
One of my favorite films from the 80’s has to be Weekend At Bernies. Terry was also in Friday The 13th Part 7. I had met Terry at a show last year but it is always good to see him again.
Steve Railsback not only played Charles Manson in the 1970’s tv movie Helter Skelter but he also played Ed Gein in a movie as well. He was also in Lifeforce and The Stuntman. The Stuntman is a film he is really proud of as you will see when I post my interview with him.
James Duval from Donnie Darko was a guest at the show this year. I didn’t realize how many films he had been in until I talked to him.
Derek Mears is also a fan favorite at every convention he does. He is best known for his role of Jason in the Friday The 13th remake.
Mike Koske was at the show. You might not know his face with out make up on be he has played zombies many times in The Walking Dead. I think over 50 times.
Back in the day, as they say, convention organizer Ben Dixon had a band called Generation Landslide. For the third year in a row the guys in the band put on a show for convention attendees on Saturday night. I love their sound. It takes you back to the 80’s when rock and roll was still rock and roll.
The band members are Gene Hadley on Vocals/Guitar, Chad Pullins on Guitar, Jeff Allen on Guitar, Tony Frost on Bass, and of course Ben Dixon on drums.
Here are some pictures from the show!
Gene Hadley has a new cd out. I got a copy of it at the show and any lover of good ole rock and roll will like it.

As you may know, just a week after Richard Brooker was in Nashville for last years Full Moon Show, he unexpectedly passed away. This year they a table sit up as a tribute to Richard with a book you could sign that was going to his family. I was glad that I finally got his autograph last year at the show. He was a horror icon for sure.
What I Picked Up At The Show
I had a great time a Full Moon this year, as I always do. Great fun, great guests, great friends and great memories. I would like to once again thank Ben and Stacey Dixon for putting on another kick ass convention. I know they are already planning for next years show. You guys know how to make Nashville’s Horror Fans happy. Keep up the great work!
I would also like to say it was great seeing all the friends I ran into at the show. There are too many to mention here but you know who you are! See you at the next show!
An last but not least a big thank you to Toni Wolf for allowing me to use a few of her pictures in this review. I had to work on Saturday and didn’t get to make as many pictures as I wanted!
See everyone next year at The Full Moon Tattoo And Horror Convention 2015!
