What do I love about Days Of The Dead? In just five years the little horror convention that couldn’t has grown into four yearly shows that are highly anticipated by horror fans all over the country. Fans flock to the shows to meet their favorite stars, dress up in costumes, hang out with friends and party all weekend long. I have been lucky enough to be on board with these guys since their very first show. Adolfo, Carrie, Bill and the whole DOTD staff put on a convention that out does it’s self each and every time. Their 2015 show in Indy kicked off the 5th year of horror fun. Scroll down to check out my weekend at Days Of The Dead!!!
The Guest Of Honor for this convention was Tobin Bell who starred in the Saw films. He was a very nice guy and I told him that I had saw his episode of Seinfeld a few weeks before. He said that was one of his best acting experiences!!
I have met Angus Scrimm several times at past conventions. A friend of mine had a Phantasm Sphere that she had asked me to get signed for her. I was more than happy to take care of it for her. Angus is amazing, I always enjoy seeing him and talking with him.
Me and Angus Scrimm AKA The Tall Man!
My friend Erica now has her sphere signed by the whole Phantasm Cast!
Anyone that is a friend of mine knows what a huge fan I am of PJ Soles. I have admired her work from Carrie, Halloween, Stripes and especially Rock & Roll High School for ever. It is such a dream come true to be able to call her a friend now.
PJ had a slight cold the week prior to the show. In fact she almost didn’t come to the show. By Saturday she had lost her voice and couldn’t talk. But that didn’t stop this amazing lady from meeting her fans the whole weekend. She was at her table signing autographs much to the delight of the convention attendees.
It doesn’t get much better than this. Me and PJ and Felissa Rose from Sleepaway Camp.
PJ Soles and Days Of The Dead promoter Bill Philputt.
PJ & Julie Anne Prescott
One of my all time favorite films is Dream A Little Dream. It starred Corey Feldman, Jason Robarbs, Corey Haim, Harry Dean Stanton and this lady, Meredith Salenger. I was so excited when they announced Meredith as a guest at Days Of The Dead.
This was the second time I had met Jordan Ladd. She has been in so many great films including Cabin Fever, Grindhouse, Planet Terror and many more.
Jordan Ladd looking all pretty on Sunday Morning at Days Of The Dead!!
If you want to know what I was like as a teenager just watch the film Detroit Rock City. Like most teenage guys in the 70’s me and my friends loved the rock band Kiss. Only my mom never burned our Kiss concert tickets. It was awesome to meet James Debello who played Trip in that movie.
John Amplas from Creepshow, Martin & Dawn Of The Dead.
The beautiful and super nice Felissa Rose. One of my favorite horror convention guests. She played Angela in Sleepaway Camp!
I have wanted to meet this lady for a long time, Erin Brown AKA Misty Mundae!
Being a big fan of the Hellraiser films, Imogen Boorman was on my must meet list for Days Of The Dead. She played Tiffany in the second installment!
Indiana Horror Host Sammy Terry!
No Horror Convention is complete without a picture with Horor Icon Kane Hodder!
Stephanie and Anthony from Face Off!
PJ’s table neighbor was Tony Moran who played Michael Myers in the first Halloween film.
Louise & Lisa Burns who played the twins in The Shinning were guests at the show. They both really like the way I said “ya’ll”. I loved their British accents as well.
Another guest I was looking forward to meeting was Joe Bob Briggs. I loved watching his show Monster Vision on TV. He liked my Return Of The Living Dead tattoo!
Iron Diamond is an 80’s Metal Tribute Band based in Indiana. They have played shows at several Days Of The Dead Conventions but this was the first time I had seen them.
They had the crowd rocking on Friday night!
Fans In Costumes
It seems like with each convention, the fans costumes get better and better. This years DOTD had some really creative people showing off their creations!!
Some very scary clowns.
I am a big fan of ladies with fangs.
This little guy got lost from his mom and dad!
I guess this lady was never told not to play with scissors!
Larry Lutze and Jeff “Wickedbeard” Crochran hosting the Costume Contest!!! Jeff was “clowning” around a little in this shot!
I have always been fascinated with mermaids but I have to admit, this one was a bit on the scary side. She must have had a run in with a shark!
Paying tribute to the Saw movies!
Yes, it is possible to be scary and beautiful at the same time!
This girl was feeling all caged up!
Another photo from the Costume Contest!
This girls make-up was amazing!!

A scary trio of characters!
A Misfits fan no doubt!
Everyone was happy to pose for my camera, including these ladies!

Amy is a member of Monsters Among You as well. I always look forward to seeing the amazing costumes this lady brings to the shows!
